How to Disable a GP eTag Duo

This article is related to the GP eTag Duo and Google Find Hub app.

The GP eTag Duo can be disabled to stop it from sharing its location. It will no longer report to Google Find Hub network and the owner can no longer get updates on its location.

If you receive a message on your Android device that a GP eTag Duo has been detected near you and you are not familiar with this device, you can make this GP eTag Duo ring through the system notification that you have received. After locating the item, use the steps described below to disable it. The owner will no longer receive updates on the location of this GP eTag Duo and it will no longer trigger unknown tracker alerts.

How to Disable:

  • Press & Hold button for 3 seconds.
  • You will hear 'Short beep + Long beep', indicating the device is disabled successfully.

How to Re-enable:

  • Press & Hold button for 3 seconds.
  • You will hear ‘Melody’ indicating the GP eTag Duo turns on while it has been already paired before.
  • Or else you will hear 'Two short beeps' every 10 seconds indicating the GP eTag Duo turns on and waits to be paired.
